Our donations come from the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District (UCFSD) community and the surrounding areas.  This diverse group of avid readers generously donates high quality books in large quantities and in a wide variety of book genres.  Our sale typically has over 80,000 books, sorted in 45 genres, including 10,000-20,000 collectible and rare books.  Here are some examples of the unique items donated to us:
  • Complete libraries from life-long collectors and museum curators.
  • Complete collections of the Franklin Library Autographed First Editions and Franklin Library Classics.
  • First edition and rare children’s books, including works by Dr. Seuss, J.M. Barrie, Louisa May Alcott, Margaret Wise Brown, L. Frank Baum, H.A. Rey, Oscar Wilde, E.B. White, Kipling & more.
  • Hundreds of local interest books including signed works by Wyeth, local sports stars and political figures.
  • Hundreds signed by popular authors and famous figures, including Richard Nixon, Al & Tipper Gore, Donald Trump, Margaret Atwood, Dan Brown, Mary Higgins Clark, Tom Clancy & more.

  • A unique collection of Native American books were donated to the National Museum of the American Indian Library in Suitland, Maryland for distribution to Native American institutions throughout the country.

While we sell the vast majority of our donations, occasionally there are items we are unable to sell.  In these cases, we try to find other non-profit organizations that have a use for them.  Some examples include:
